How the scheme works, who can take part, and when a code stops working.

Anyone who has not ordered from us before takes 10% off their first order with your code.
Once their order completes and clears our returns window, we email you a one-use 10% code for your own next order.
Your code is issued against the email you ordered with. It does not expire, and you can share it as often as you like.

Anyone who has placed an order with Gencore can take part, and there is nothing to apply for. You do not need an account: your code is issued against the email address you ordered with. You will find it on the thank-you page after checkout, in your order confirmation email, and in the Refer a friend tab of your account if you have one. Taking part is free.
A referral code gives your friend 10% off their first order with us. It is for first orders only: if the email address or account used at checkout has ordered from us before, the code will be refused. One referral code per person. The discount applies to the basket, not to delivery charges.
A code cannot be used on the account or email address that earned it, and the checkout will refuse it. Codes are tied to the email they were issued against. Orders that are in substance self-referrals, including an order placed on a second email address by the same person or household, do not earn a reward.
When your friend's order completes and clears our returns window, we issue you a separate one-use code for 10% off your own next order and email it to you. It is valid for 90 days from the day it is issued and can be used once. There is no limit on how many friends you can refer, and each qualifying order earns its own reward.
A reward depends on your friend's order standing. If that order is cancelled, fails, or is refunded in full, a reward earned from it is withdrawn: one not yet issued will not be issued, and one issued but unused is expired. A partial refund does not affect your reward. If a reward has already been used by the time the order is reversed, we will not ask for it back.
Referral codes cannot be combined with another discount code. Only one code can be applied to an order, so your friend will need to choose between a referral code and any other offer they hold. The same applies to your reward code on your own order.
Our ambassador programme is separate from this scheme. A basket already tracked to an ambassador cannot also take a referral code, and a referral cannot be used to claim ambassador commission. Ambassadors are welcome to take part as customers on their own orders, under the same terms as everyone else.
The scheme runs on Gencore only. Codes earned on Gencore cannot be used on GenChem, and orders placed on GenChem do not earn referral codes or rewards.
We may change, suspend or withdraw the scheme at any time, and we may change these terms. We will honour codes already issued wherever we reasonably can. We may cancel a code or withhold a reward where we have good reason to believe the scheme is being misused, for example bulk posting of codes to voucher sites, self-referral, or orders placed with no intention of keeping the goods. Nothing here affects your statutory rights, including your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, or anything in our Refund Policy.
To run the scheme we store the email address a code belongs to against that code, and we record which order a referral came from. That email address, your referral counts and the codes issued to you are shared with Klaviyo, the service we use to send the emails this scheme depends on. This is covered by our Privacy Policy. You can ask us to remove you from the scheme at any time by emailing [email protected].
